I hope that you are all getting into the swing of the new school year; you know where your classes are and what you are suppose to be doing.
As you could tell if you were at church last night, there are going to be some new things going on this school year with FBC Student Ministries! There will be several changes this fall one of which is the new computer! It will hopefully enable more media, videos, pictures, music, etc. to enhance the message each week.
Also after each Wednesday lesson we will be splitting up into small groups and giving you an opportunity to hash out what was just taught. The hope is that these few minutes of discussion with a smaller group of your peers will help better enable you to internalize and apply the message.
Starting the middle of September a few of you will be given the opportunity to join an alternate Bible study on Wednesday nights. There will be 4 studies with about 4 students in each study, allowing those of you interested to spend approximately 6 weeks studying things like "How to Read the Bible", "Finding my Identity in Christ" or "Living for God Today". There will be more information about this option in the next few weeks and sign-up sheets will be available soon!
Last night Tommy finished the series on "being battle ready", hopefully this prepared you for school and you have used the last few days to begin on the right foot and impact your campus for Christ. If you got off to a rough start, no worries start tomorrow, there is still time to let God use you to do something completely amazing and impossible! Next week will be the start of a new series that you won't want to miss.
Reach out to someone out of your circle this week, love people when they don't deserve it, help some one without expecting anything in return, BE UPCOURAGING, be Jesus hands and feet; and the 100 chairs in the youth room will be too few in no time! :)
