Camp days one and two

We arrived around lunch time on Monday at the campus with 40 students and 6 sponsors. And we jumped right into the swing of camp, the students met the leaders and other students in their small groups for Bible study and we all met the camp pastor and worship leader!! Monday night the theme was "respond" and the camp pastor talked alot about how Jesus initiates relationship with us. He wants us to be right with Him and "respond" appropriately so He starts things with His Holy Spirit. God started dealing with our students very early on! Many experienced God's presence heavy in the room.
That opened them up a little for what God wanted to accomplish on day 2. The theme for day 2 was "repent". The lessons and prayer times all day lead up to the worship service where Neil preached on God's wrath and how that wrath sits on all of us until we allow what Jesus did for us on the cross to begin changing us and we "repent" and turn back toward God. Atleast 2 of our students made a decision to surrender their lives to Jesus and become His followers. Countless others repented of sinful lifestyles and went running back into God's arms. There were tears and smiles everywhere at the same time and it was very evident to everyone that God planned for them to be here and He wants to use this time to speak to them each individually. FBC Troup students are being complimented left and right for their behavior, understanding, contributions and serrvant hearts! Which is enough to make any parent (and student pastor) proud!! We have some great kids and an amazing God! Stay tuned with us as we see where God wants to go from here! Keep praying, we can feel all of your prayer support!!
